研究内容

専門は知覚心理学で、視覚のメカニズムについて研究をしています。その中でも特に、色がどのように区別されているのか、また、左右の眼からの情報がどのように統合されているのかといった問題を中心に検討しています。研究の手法としては、知覚実験と瞳孔反応計測を用いています。前者は、刺激に対する能動的・随意的な反応を検討する方法ですが、後者は、刺激によって眼の瞳孔に生じる不随意的な反応を測定するという手法です。これらによって、視覚処理のメカニズムの解明を目指しています。
